Program Description

The A.S. degree in Agricultural Science and Technology's curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in agriculture or transfer to a four-year program. The curriculum includes a wide range of classes, such as Ag communication, Ag economics, animal sciences, dairy, plants/soils, and Ag machinery/mechanization. Due to the vast offerings with this degree, students can explore the diverse options within the agriculture world to find where their interests most align.

Due to compliance with S.B. 77, the A.S. degree in Agricultural Science and Technology transfers into a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal and Dairy Science or a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences with an Animal Science emphasis at ENMU Portales without any loss of credit. Students should work with an advisor at the receiving university if they are planning to transfer.

If you are interested in learning more about our offerings or would like to know more about what an Agriculture degree can help you accomplish, please contact the Program Coordinator at (575) 624-7482 or andrea.stapp@enmu.edu.
